Fear and Loathing meets Kate Tempest for Hallucinogenic punchy poetry video

Left-leaning underground hip-hop trio Strangelove return from dabbling in micro doses of LSD with trip-inducing visuals for their powerfully poetic track Lonely Souls, which provide “abstract, coded lyricism with cinematic soundscapes”. From their debut tape #EP1, the video plans to address the dizzying turmoil of romance in a modern city and how that despite millions of people surrounding you each day, it’s easy to spiral into loneliness. With fans including Homeboy Sandman, you can expect even bigger things from their forthcoming EP#2.

That latest release has been gaining Radio 6 airtime and great appreciation from us at Blatantly Blunt. The track also features female world beatbox champion Bellatrix who adds an angelic almost electric singing voice into the mix. #EP2 is currently close to release, so watch this space for more stunning cinematics from this talented London bunch.
