Video: Mac Miller – 100 Grandkids

After announcing the name and release date of his third studio album Good A.M. Mac Miller has further teased fans by dropping its first single and music video. Serving as the first taster of the album the track makes a strong intro as Mac Miller reflects on his rise to fame all through smoothly flowing word play. “100 Gs in my jeans; I’m a genius” raps Mac having previously shifted to an interpolation of Diddy’s Bad Boys For Life. With production handled by former 50 Cent producer Sha Money XL the beat is a perfect compliment to Mac’s bars switching up with each change in the track.

The accompanying video appears equally eclectic opening with Mac appearing both as himself and, more surreally, the moon in a school play before shifting to a more classic hip hop approach with the addition of a low rider. The offbeat visuals add to the appeal and intrigue of the album though making it well worth a look.

Good A.M. will drop September 18th.
