Review: Rageouz – 4 The Record EP

In Hip Hop, Soul by Chris White

Bringing the vibes with his new EP ‘The Record’, East London rapper Rageouz has further cemented his place as one of the UK’s most talented up and coming artists. Switching things up throughout the EP, most notably in ‘Catalyst’ where he teams up with the soulful Louise Lit, Rageouz shows that he has a whole range of abilities when it comes to his music. Mixing genres seamlessly with a strong soul influence throughout, Raeouz flow and wordplay is what really sets him apart; as well as demonstrating how far he has come in recent years.

By opening the EP with ‘Bridging’, an easy going track over a lo-fi beat and closing the EP with the more hard hitting and self-examining ‘Just4u’, Rageouz really does showcase his whole skillset and as he continues to gather momentum as the year goes on it’s really starting to feel like he could be the one to watch at the moment.
