In Hip Hop by Jessica Salter

Maryland rapper Logic announced his latest project with the help of sci-fi sitcom Rick & Morty in a two part Instagram video post, letting the world know that ‘mixtape’ logic is back! Bobby Tarantino II dropped March 9th and is the second instalment of his 2016 surprise mixtape Bobby Tarantino. It is expected to debut at No.1 on the billboard top 200.

The Def Jam released project, which was produced by Logic and 6ix features verses from 2 Chainz, Big Sean and  Wiz Khalifa; whose track is ironically 4 minutes and 20 seconds long, as well as the latest released singles ‘44 More,’ ‘Overnight’ and ‘Everyday’ featuring EDM DJ and Producer Marshmello.

The ‘1-800-272-8255’ rapper’s new project is a less conscious body of work compared to his previous album ‘Everybody’ which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200! However, Logic still shows off his lyrical ability and tells of how hard he has worked to be where is now.

Logic has some aggressive bars on the track ‘Yuck’ which are said to be in retaliation from his ongoing beef with Joyner Lucas with lyrics like “Cats beef with Logic, yeah, they praying I respond/If I ever did I dead you in this game with no respawn.” Overall he drops some dope bars as well as  some auto tune on the track ‘Wizard of Oz.’
