Review: J Spades – MMMP 2 (More Money More Pagans II)

Hackney’s own J Spades, who after releasing his widely recieved mixtape More Money More Pagans and doing shows with the likes of heavyweights Blade Brown, Youngs Teflon, Fekky and others finally releases his magnum opus More Money More Pagans 2. He starts things off with Burn which is produced by Pinero Beats, and it sets the tone of the release with strong chorus that tells the listener “I’m never giving up, never gonna stop”.

As it goes he proclaims that the “Rap game fucked up boy!!! Fuck you think I trap for?”, on rap game, with his eerie attention to detail and larger than life presence on the track.

He recruits Cashtastic and pioneer in the scene Sway for #TGIF with the lush background set for those who look forward to the weekend and partying. Both the Beat Boss and Cee Figz turn the levels up on this song, giving all three artists a sonic playground to flex their weight on it. The project More Money More Pagans 2 is a powerful addition to J Spades’ musical CV, as it will go down as the mixtape that people will use for motivation to go harder in their workouts and knocking out their uni assignments. A release that is not only found in car stereos, but also as a bi-product for the future releases that UK rappers will all take heed too. Download – J Spades: More Money More Pagans II here
