Review: Invy Da Truth – V.I.C.E.

V.ast I.ntoxicating C.hemicals E.veryday aka V.I.C.E is the latest offering from a little known Detroit based rapper named Invy da Truth. Using a plethora of spacey sounding contemporary production combined with a gritty undertone this album endeavours to explore vices that we all face on a daily basis.

As the name implies this album comes from an intoxicated perspective and has a few notable hidden gems on there like the Brooklynesque track, Roll the Dice. It also features a couple of more tongue in cheek tracks like “Kenny Powers” which references everyone’s favourite absurdly obnoxious comedy hero, I think we can guess which confidence inducing drug this track is referring to.
