Rap round up w/c 14 March

In Hip Hop by Nick Russell

Here’s a round up of the latest hip hop we’ve come across that deserved some love.

Dope feel good tune here from producer TyC, with a fun visual and nice vocal style from Cleveland artist Curly Chuck. Something a little different for you and brings a good range of content. Dope stuff!

If you remember the classic movie Kill Bill then the sample used on this will be something you’re familiar with! The 1966 track ‘Bang bang’ by Nancy Sinatra is revived on this new one from Foxx Bodii, the self proclaimed ‘genre bending rapper, singer, songwriter and certified hit-maker. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, the artist shows a lot of potential!

It’s not too often that you here progressive fusions of house of hip hop that takes the listener to a fun, toe tapping  place. Vienna, Austria based producer srlsly brings a dope vibe on ‘Out Here’, offering a fresh perspective which blurs the lines between R&B, hip hop and electro-pop. The track features US artist G.L.A.M who definitely does the beat justice and she’s a name you should keep an ear out for!

Fun new track here from the Palm Beach, Florida artist who goes by the name of RALPH, which appears to be an acronym for ‘Respect All Life Preach Hope’. This will definitely be appealing for fans of the track Broccoli by DRAM and Lil Yachty. From his delivery and lyrical content you can tell the dude loves to live the good life, and knows how to enjoy himself! Catchy lyrics and cool vibes all round, we like this! Stream the mixtape here.

Check out it’s this fresh one from St Louis, Missouri artist Aaron Kell who combines lyrical insights and reflections on his inner thoughts covering depression talking to God. Nice hook and laid back production too, which will hopefully give you motivation to check out his new project.
