SubmitHub Rap Round Up: June 2018

In Hip Hop by Nick Russell

Here’s a list of the songs we’ve been sent via Submit Hub which we are co-signing! Submit your song to us here to be considered for our round up!

Jamar Carr – Million Dollar Slaves (Prod. Bandit Luce)

Dope new track from an artist we’ve supported heavily – Jamar Carr brings an important message relating to how NBA stars are being treated as ‘million dollar slaves’.  “We love you for your talents but miss us with your politics!”

CIRRRCLE – Talk Too Much

Definitely built for the summer, this has the uplifting feel to it, while keeping it straight hip hop with those tight flows and a fun hook. If you love a video with some cool aesthetics to it and tight dance moves then you will love this!

Hendrix Harris – New Chains (Prod by G E N I U S)

A dope vibe on this song, from the growing Parisian producer team. Laid back and mellow, with a solid vocal that sits nicely, as they blend the styles to deliver an atmospheric song.

Ray – Radio

A feel good hip hop record, with a style which may you may find reminiscent of BOB. On his debut single, New Orleans artist Ray (aka Raymond Wimley) brings a confident delivery style and uplifting lyrics with a nice beat too. Something for those who like a smile with their hip hop!

Rome – All in

A super dope record with a relevant message and dope word play used too.  ‘All in’ is a solid track which has come as a response to mumble rap, as the artist described how “There’s an imbalance going on in hip hop, a lot of goofy trolls are acting like morons for attention.”
