Event: Pioneers History Dance Festival 2015

The Dance Festival is back for the third time from 25th – 27th September in Brixton.

On Saturday 26th they will be heading to Black Cultural Archives, which will involve an all-day jam with DJ Kofi & DJ Dbo from 12PM till 6PM, in the building’s courtyard. At 1:30PM there is a music showcase hosted by FERO & from 3PM till 4PM there will be a Rap and Beatbox Open Mic Cipher hosted by Marv Radio.

Also make sure you hit up the  panel discussions that will be taking part inside the heritage centre simultaneously (one of them is the screening of the documentary “Under the Influence” which is followed by a discussion and Q&A featuring Rodney P and Ruby Mulraine).

The day ends with an afterparty with more DJs at The Ritzy! The Twilight Firm Sound System night host at The Ritzy, in collaboration with Holdin’ Court, will feature the Twilight Firm DJing 80’s and 90’s early British hip-hop, funk and soul music that was influential in their music production.

This is a unique event as its the first time in about 20 years that the Twilight Firm have played together, who are pioneering UK beat producers for rap crews such as London Posse.
