Do you want the good news or the bad news 1st?
Well the bad news is that this ISN’T grime, but the good new is this is a dancehall/bashment mixtape containing NINETY NINE tracks of real explicit tracks from 2010’s biggest dancehall tracks including new music from Vybz Kartel, Beenie Man, Mavado, Bounty Killer, Aidonia, Gyptian, Gappy Ranks, & Suncycle. Not forgetting some of the biggest riddims of the year including Street Swag, Bank Robbers, Mad Collab, Smokin’, Street Groove, Sex Appeal, Tsunami!
In the 6 or 7 years I’ve been into this scene I’ve heard a lot that can be described as ‘Caribbean or Jamaican hip hop’. On top of that; the strong dancehall roots in the grime scene hopefully we’ll hear some transatlantic collabos from artists in the bashment /grime and UK dancehall scene from artists like Gappy Ranks, Badness, Lady Chann, Killa P, Tuggawar as well as the producers like Toddla T [who recently worked with Wayne Marshall].
