New Adian Coker EP

It’s been six months since Adian Coker last EP Time Over Mind however the upcoming London MC has certainly been keeping busy. With the release of a string of new tracks in the last month culminating in the release of latest EP ‘Connect’.

Connect sees a lot of new experimentation both in production and content with a diverse array of sounds on offer. A lot of the overall feel is set in the opener Memories. Which sees a mix of futuristic electronic production and soulful vocals accompanying some of Adian’s more introspective lyrics. This is a style also seen on final track Lyamide’s Son which pairs vocals from Charlotte Turnbull. With Adian’s weighty sung-rap delivery and the Bluey Robinson featuring Aim which takes on an R&B vibe in parts.

That is not to say the EP is without heavy hitters though with the fast paced. Bass heavy Krispy hammering home vivid portraits of Adian’s life on the grind in London. As ever the track also provides an opportunity to showcase some of Adian’s style for interesting and edgy videos with vintage effect visuals shot across Woolwich.

With prolific output and a growing following Adian is firmly cementing his place in the UK rap scene. And with this newest sonic exploration Connect represents an interesting and personal addition to his output.
