Promoted as the hottest song on Zane Lowe’s BBC radio 1 show, one of ‘laser Hip-Hops’ pioneers Rustie is back with a new sound from the forthcoming album ‘Green Language’, set to be released on Warp Records. The Scottish producer brought along Detroit rapper Danny Brown for the record and the finished sound is something completely different.
After hearing the full track I needed to find the nearest night club, the energy is that powerful! The production is almost impossible to place into any category, somewhere in between Hip-Hop, House, Dubstep and Electro – switching styles between verse and chorus while maintaining the same tempo. Combine that with Danny Brown’s usual energetic flow and demented style, I would call this new flavour the UK’s answer to the American trap sound.
After the success of the Glass Swords album, keep a note of the 25th August when Green Language is dropped (pre-order from Bleep / iTunes / Amazon), Rustie is definitely one to watch! Check his tour dates below…
